The story of the game Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet focuses on a fictional religion and how it affects people
One of the biggest announcements at The Game Awards 2024 was Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet by Naughty Dog. Now we know a little bit about the story.
Here's What We Know
Neil Druckmann, co-president of Naughty Dog and game director of The Last of Us Part III and Uncharted 4, told The New York Times a little more about the story of Intergalactic.
He said that the story is quite ambitious and focuses on a fictional religion and what happens when people put their faith in different institutions.
Druckmann is not ready to share other details of the story, but as for religion, this topic has already been in The Last of Us Part II and now it is interesting how it will be played out not in the post-apocalypse, but in a science fiction wrapper.
In Intergalactic, players will take on the role of Jordan A. Moon, a dangerous bounty hunter who finds herself on the remote planet Sempiria. This planet lost contact with the outside world hundreds of years ago, and Jordan will have to use all his skills to become the first person in 600 years to leave its orbit.
