Garmin releases 13.12 beta update for Fenix 8, Fenix 8 Solar, Fenix E and Enduro 3: new activities and touchscreen bug fixes

Garmin has released the beta version of the 13.12 update for the Fenix 8, Fenix 8 Solar, Fenix E and Enduro 3 smartwatches. This update comes a few days after the stable version 12.35 for these models.

Here's What We Know

The list of changes in beta version 13.12: new Sail Race and Jumpmaster activities have been added to the smartwatches, as well as the Trolling Motor app and the Connect IQ 8 system for the latest apps and watch faces.

The update also includes improvements to some of the activities, including the addition of a stress map to the game results and a breathing chart for meditation. In addition, the watch now supports marine units and the use of a heart rate monitor (HRM) to calculate pace and distance.

A number of bugs have been fixed:

  • Touchscreen deactivation issue - in previous versions, it was not possible to completely disable the touchscreen, which created inconvenience.
  • Applications not available through the Recent menu - users could not access some applications through the shortcut menu, which affected usability.
    Empty calendar card in Morning Report - in some cases, the calendar card was not displayed on the Morning Report screen, which led to a lack of information.

These fixes are intended to improve the user experience and provide a more stable experience for your Garmin smartwatch.

To update your smartwatch to beta version 13.12, go to the main menu, System, Software update, Check for updates.
