Sony is actively working on film adaptations of its games. And while we know about the development of such projects as Until Dawn, Ghost of Tsushima, Horizon, God of War, and The Last of Us, we haven't heard about others for so long that we've already forgotten. One of these adaptations is Shadow of the Colossus, but finally, new news has emerged.

Here's What We Know

Andrés Muschietti, who was responsible for such films as It, It 2, and The Flash, told details about the Shadow of the Colossus adaptation in an interview with an Argentine radio station.

According to Andrés, the film has been in development for 10 years, and now the opportunity to make it is finally opening up.

He loves this film, and he really likes the script.

But the biggest challenge now is securing the desired budget.

"There are factors that have nothing to do with your hobby and desire to make a film, but with how popular the intellectual property is," he said.

Muschietti would like a budget of $200 million, but so far he hasn't been given that amount, so either he will be able to ask for that amount or he will have to get less and make some changes to the film. In any case, for the next couple of years, you can forget about the premiere of this film.

But if you are really looking forward to film adaptations, then in April 2025, we will have New trailer for The Last of Us season two finally reveals release date: premiere is scheduled for April 2025 and the Until Dawn film.
