For some time now, it has been known that Bungie is developing a game codenamed Gummy Bears, which combines elements of MOBA and platform battles similar to Super Smash Bros. However, now there is information that a new PlayStation studio is working on the game. So let's find out what kind of project it is.

Here's What We Know

Approximately 40 developers from Bungie continue to work on Gummy Bears after the project was transferred to a new studio.

The Game Post found out the following about the game:

  • PvP team-based competitive game
  • Although the game is based on a MOBA, the influence of Smash Bros. means that it differs from other games of this genre
  • Instead of traditional health scales, a system of percentage damage is used
  • Players can be thrown off the map, which adds an element of strategy.
  • Several game modes are planned
  • Gummy Bears is described as a cosy lo-fi game that is in stark contrast to the dramatic sci-fi worlds that Bungie is used to
  • The project was highly praised internally as the "most fun" Bungie game
  • The game is aimed at a young audience with bright, colourful visuals
  • A variety of roles is expected
  • Gummy Bears has been in development for at least three years

Now we hope that even more details will be revealed this year.
