Starts the day with mail, loves white wine and can't imagine himself without work: journalists found out how Apple CEO spends his time
Apple CEO Tim Cook recently shared some interesting details of his life during an interview on the Table Manners podcast. A visit to London in December was a great opportunity for him to share his routine, his views on the future, and some facts about Apple.
Here's What We Know
Tim Cook told us that the company collects fruit from the trees that grow around the Apple Park campus and uses it to make jam. These are apples, because the Apple Park territory was once an orchard, but there are also cherries. He has shared the spiced apple jam created from Apple Park trees with podcast hosts.
As for retirement, Cook has no plans to give up work entirely. He explained that his upbringing was work-oriented. His parents instilled in him a love of hard work from an early age. At the age of 11, he was delivering newspapers, and at 14, he was working in fast food. Cook can't imagine himself "sitting at home doing nothing" and believes that he will always strive to work.

Tim usually wakes up before 5:00 am and starts his day by answering emails when it's still quiet and calm. This allows him to control the start of the day, which is usually less predictable. Cook's favourite time of day is the morning, when he can "be alone with myself and focus on the important things".
The CEO works four days a week at Apple Park, but Cook is home on Fridays. He explained that "an office without people looks sad". Apple has introduced a hybrid work model, allowing employees to work from home up to two days a week.
