Today (16 January) is a big day for racing sim fans - Assetto Corsa EVO will be released at 15:00 (CET)!

Here's What We Know

The new game from the Kunos Simulazioni team is released on Steam Early Access, so many elements of the game will be far from finalised.

The developers promise that Assetto Corsa EVO will take the racing simulation genre to the next level. The new KUNOS engine will provide photorealistic graphics, advanced physics, believable car damage system, dynamic change of weather and time of day.

In Assetto Corsa EVO gamers will be offered a huge choice of cars - from budget models to elite sports cars and famous retro cars, but in the early version there will be only 20 of them.

Each car will have individual physics and controls based on its characteristics, making all models feel unique. Players will be able to test the vehicles on five tracks - Imola, Brands Hatch, Bathurst, Laguna Seca, Suzuka, and in summer the developers will add one more track - Nürburgring.

The developers from KUNOS Simulazioni promise a perfect racing game and believe that the Early Access release format will be optimal for this, as they will be able to improve certain aspects of Assetto Corsa EVO taking into account the comments and wishes of gamers.

The main details you need to know about Assetto Corsa EVO are given in a special video from the developers:
