One year has passed since the early access release of the fantasy survival simulator Enshrouded. The game became an instant success and sold one million copies just four days after the release, and six months later this figure exceeded 3 million.

In honour of the first anniversary Keen Games studio released a special update for their project.

Here's What We Know

The update is called Pact of the Flame and introduces to Enshrouded a lot of new features that players have been asking for. The developers separately focused on the expansion of social features, so the survival simulator has voice and text chat, a common hub where players can meet and chat and a number of other interesting features.

Keen Games paid attention to the construction process in Enshrouded, so now players will be able to do it from the first-person view, and new furniture items, blueprints and decor elements became available. By the way, some surfaces can now be artificially aged to give them a special charm.

Simultaneously with the patch release the developers updated the support plan for Enshrouded and announced that the game will definitely not be released from Early Access in 2025, but they don't plan to delay it.

As before, players will be treated to constant updates and major innovations.

In just one year, over three million players have gone on adventures in Embervale, receiving five content updates, six patches, and 19 fixes. Enshrouded has maintained a "Very Positive" rating on Steam since launching in Early Access in January 2024, and the team continues to listen closely to player feedback as they work on version 1.0 for MS and consoles, which is expected to release in Spring 2026.

Enshrouded is available on Steam, where you can also check out the full patch notes.
