"I think there's still a lot of innovation to come," Apple CEO on future iPhone models

During the financial report for the first quarter of 2025, Apple CEO Tim Cook answered a question about possible innovations in the design of future iPhone models. This question probably referred to the rumours about the new iPhone 17 Air.
Here's What We Know
Although Cook often refrains from disclosing details about future products during financial reports, he answered optimistically. "I think there's still a lot of innovation to come. I couldn't be more optimistic about our product portfolio," he said.
Tim went on to say that there is indeed room for change in the iPhone lineup.
Rumours suggest that Apple is developing an ultra-thin version of the iPhone that could replace the Plus model in the series. The device is likely to be 5 to 6 mm thick, making it the thinnest iPhone yet.

Cook was asked about the impact of the design of the ultra-thin 12.9-inch iPad Pro M4 on the growth of iPad revenue, but he noted that this is not the case. Instead, it was the iPad Air and the standard iPad that were responsible for a 15% increase in revenue for the category during the holiday quarter.
Unsurprisingly, the iPad Pro, which is highly priced, did not contribute much to the growth. Leaks about the price of the upcoming ultra-thin iPhone vary, but it is expected to be cheaper than the Pro model. Apple will focus on design, and the device will have a less powerful chip and a single-lens camera.
Apple also received $100 billion in revenue from services and more than 1 billion subscriptions.Apple reported that for the quarter ended 28 December, its services business reached a record revenue of $26.3 billion, up 14% year-on-year.
