Recently, PlatinumGames removed all references to its superhero project Project G.G. from its official website. Previously, the site featured 22 released and upcoming games, but now only nine are left. It is noteworthy that the special URL for Project G.G. now redirects to the main page.

Here's What We Know

Project G.G. was announced in February 2020 by Hideki Kamiya, the company's then vice president. It was supposed to be the third and final part of his superhero trilogy, after Viewtiful Joe and The Wonderful 101. In October 2023, Kamiya left PlatinumGames. When asked about the future of Project G.G. after his departure, he directed inquiries to the company, stating: "Ask Platinum about Platinum."

The removal of Project G.G. from the site has caused concern among former employees. Former producer JP Kellams expressed his concerns on social media, stating: "The fact that PlatinumGames is erasing its history on its website is extremely disappointing... As someone who is proud to have worked on these games, I feel deeply offended by this."

PlatinumGames has not yet provided any updates on the status of Project G.G.
