Following the publication of new job openings at CD Projekt Red, fans of Cyberpunk 2077 have received the first hints of the game's sequel.

Here's What We Know

The vacancies indicate that the studio is actively working on the sequel, which probably won't appear on the market for several more years. One of the most interesting roles is the "lead encounter designer", who will be responsible for creating "the most realistic crowd system in the history of gaming".

The job postings also mention the development of "experiences that are different and appropriate for all available playstyles", which hints at a free-form approach to completing missions in the sequel. Overall, the new jobs indicate an intention to greatly improve the open-world elements of the sequel.

The vacancies also hint that the game will be a first-person shooter again. This is evidenced by the role of a senior animator, which points to the improvement of the "immersive player experience".

CD Projekt Red is creating the Cyberpunk sequel in a new studio in Boston. However, we are likely to see the game in the PlayStation 6 era.
