The Blood of Dawnwalker will have an open, but small world

The Blood of Dawnwalker, the upcoming role-playing game from the developers who worked on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, will be an open-world project, but its size will be smaller than the industry norm. Creative Director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz explained that the studio aims to create a world that players can explore and remember in detail.
Here's What We Know
According to Tomaszkiewicz, he likes open-world games, but he considers the best ones to be those with a smaller scale. This allows you to enjoy exploring without rushing, without feeling the need to quickly run through the world in search of interesting moments. He noted that in smaller worlds, it is easier to remember locations, which creates a sense of deeper immersion in the game.
Interestingly, Tomaszkiewicz emphasised the measured pace of the game, although it is known that The Blood of Dawnwalker will unfold within 30 game days. The protagonist Cohen will try to save his family from death, so players will have to carefully allocate time between the main storyline and side quests.
Rebel Wolves studio decided to focus on the concept of a "narrative sandbox", giving players the opportunity to influence the plot and even eliminate important characters. According to Tomaszkiewicz, the team sought to combine gameplay variability with a strong story and interesting characters.
Where To Play
The game will be released on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
When We Can Expect It
The release date is currently unknown.
