Shodan returns: new System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster trailer reveals release date for the updated classic
At Future Games Show Spring Showcase 2025 developers from Nightdive Studios revealed the release date of System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary - remaster of the cult game from 1999, which is a classic of Immersive sim genre.
Here's What We Know
The authors reported that already on the 26th of June gamers will be able to again engage in battle with the evil artificial intelligence Shodan, which despises humanity and seeks to seize control of the space station "Citadel".
Unlike the first System Shock remake, this time Nightdive Studios limited itself to small improvements in graphics and adapting the game to modern systems, without making significant changes to gameplay mechanics.
System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster will be available on PC and all current consoles.
