During Future Games Show: Spring Showcase 2025 Bloober Team studio presented a detailed video about sci-fi horror game Cronos: The New Dawn.

Here's What We Know

Game directors Jacek Zięba and Wojciech Piejko said that while developing Cronos they were inspired by the cult space horror Dead Space, because it is as close as possible to their idea in terms of atmosphere and style. And in terms of difficulty they are oriented on Dark Souls series, but, of course, the game will not be so hardcore.

Also Polish game designers noted the influence on the development of Cronos: The New Dawn series Dark from Netflix and films "The Thing" (The Thing) John Carpenter and "12 Monkeys" (12 Monkeys).

The authors of the horror reminded that the main character is a Traveller - a member of a secret organisation whose representatives travel through time and explore the ruins of human civilisation. They look for valuable people for them and move them to their own time to improve the situation in the world.

According to the plot of Cronos: The New Dawn, in the 80's there was some kind of global catastrophe that practically wiped out humanity and turned some people into creepy creatures called "Orphans".

Bloober Team showed some gameplay footage of Cronos: The New Dawn, which confirms that the game will approximate the same dynamics as the recent Silent Hill 2 remake.

When We Can Expect It

Cronos: The New Dawn is expected to release in 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series.
