At Future Games Show 2025, Redemption Road presented its new project - a hybrid of strategy and action game Kingmakers. In the new trailer, which includes previously unseen footage, developer Ian Fish shared important news about the game, including the use of Unreal Engine 4.

Here's What We Know

The story of Kingmakers revolves around a modern-day soldier who finds himself in 1401 to take part in the Welsh Rebellion. In reality, this uprising was suppressed, and its leader, Owain Glyndŵr, disappeared under mysterious circumstances. In Kingmakers, players will be able to lead the rebels to victory in their quest to conquer England, armed with machine guns and tanks.

One of the key features of the game is the full modelling of thousands of soldiers involved in each battle. According to Fish, it will be similar to Dynasty Warriors, but all the soldiers will be on the battlefield from the very beginning of the mission, fulfilling their role.

Players will also be able to destroy buildings on the levels, and dynamic destruction will provide a new level of interaction with the environment. In addition, Kingmakers supports co-operative multiplayer for four players.

Where To Play

The game will be released in Early Access for PC, with a future release on consoles.
