A few days ago Bugbear studio and THQ Nordic publisher released in Steam early access the racing game Wreckfest 2, which is a "spiritual successor" of the cult FlatOut, and in the development of the novelty some developers who once worked on the famous race participated.

Gamers got acquainted with the game and shared their reviews.

Here's What We Know

The public in general positively evaluated Wreckfest 2, first of all players liked the much improved mechanics of destruction of cars and surrounding objects. Each collision leaves its mark and not only deforms the body, but also affects the course of the car.

Gamers were satisfied with the overall graphical performance: everything looks bright, spectacular, realistic and, despite the fact that we are facing an early version, very technologically advanced. Optimisation was also at a high level. You can clearly see the improvements compared to the first part.

The main drawback of Wreckfest 2 is the lack of content. There are only a few car tracks and modes in the game, and after getting acquainted with them gamers have nothing to do, except multiplayer races, which in the absence of variety of maps also quickly get bored.

To summarise, gamers believe that Wreckfest 2 has great potential, but so far many are inclined to believe that they have been sold just an outline of a great game.

So far, Wreckfest 2 has received 74% positive reviews on Steam, with the adjustment that even the authors of negative reviews can't ignore the objective pluses of the game.
