The United States has concentrated a third of its B-2 bombers on a small island in the Indian Ocean

The United States has deployed a significant number of its B-2 Spirit strategic bombers on Diego Garcia Island in the Indian Ocean, which can be used to strike protected targets, including Iran.
Here's What We Know
In recent days, five to nine B-2 Spirits have been spotted at Diego Garcia Air Force Base, which is almost half of the total fleet of these aircraft in the United States. The first three aircraft were spotted two days ago, and new satellite imagery shows an increase in their number.
The B-2s carry GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator bombs designed to destroy underground fortifications. This is of particular importance as Iran has located its nuclear facilities underground.
Satellite imagery from @IndoPacWatch shows 3 B-2 "Spirit" Long-Range Strategic Stealth Bombers on the tarmac today at Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean, as well as possibly 4 others under hardened aircraft shelters, bringing the total B-2s that could be at the base to 7. Diego Garcia Air Force Base is strategically advantageous for the United States because it is located beyond the range of Iranian ballistic missiles, in particular the Ghadr-1, whose range is estimated at 2,000 km, while the base is about 3,800 km away.
Diego Garcia has been a key US military facility since 1973, when the island was converted into a base after the forced eviction of the local population. In addition to the airbase, it houses units of the US Navy, Air Force, satellite communications and electro-optical space surveillance stations.
