Hyungjun "Kjun" Kim, Game Director of inZOI, assured the community that their game, which is already being called a Sims competitor, will not become another early access project without proper support. He acknowledged that some players may find the content limited at launch and promised to regularly expand the game's capabilities.

Here's What We Know

Kim emphasised the importance of responding quickly to player feedback and announced plans to release operational patches throughout April. The studio is also looking at additional ways to collect feedback besides the official Discord server.

I promise to keep expanding inZOI

According to the 2025 roadmap, four major updates are planned for 2025:

  • May: adding an adoption system, improved character relationships, new furniture, as well as cheat codes and a modding toolkit.
  • August: AI-assisted construction mode and expanded city editing capabilities.
  • October: family events and hotkey settings will be added.
  • December: a system of memories, new outfits, and character reactions that depend on their traits will be introduced.

So now the inZOI developers have a serious approach to the game development and a desire to meet the expectations of players, but we will see how it all ends.
