Lucasfilm Celebrates 50th Anniversary: LEGO Unveils New R2-D2 Star Wars Droid Set

LEGO released a 2,127-piece R2-D2 droid set in 2012, and now nine years later has decided to show its updated version.
What we know
The new figure was presented on the 50th anniversary of the Lucasfilm studio.The model has 2,314 parts and several movable elements. For example, the robot has a rotatable head and legs, as well as the periscope. Also new items have a special compartment for storing the lightsaber. The height of the toy is 31 cm
By the way, in addition to the droid itself, the kit also includes its miniature figure and a plate with a description.
Price and when to expect
The updated R2-D2 set will be available on May 1st. You will have to pay $200 for it.
