7 Xiaomi smartphones received MIUI 12.5

Xiaomi has released a fresh version of MIUI 12.5 firmware for several smartphones. The global software build is available for Xiaomi, Redmi and POCO models.

Let's start with Xiaomi smartphones. The company has fixed a number of fingerprint scanner related issues in Mi Note 10 and Mi Note 10 Pro. For example, animation issues, biometric sensor glitches and Face Unlock. The global version of MIUI 12.5 is numbered v12.5.0 RFDMIXM and brings the security patch for August.

The operating system security patch for August became available for POCO X3 GT as part of MIUI 12.5.5.0 RKPMIXM firmware. The same goes for the Redmi Note 8 Pro, but already together with the European version of MIUI 12.5 numbered v12.5.3.0 RGGEUXM.

The recent Redmi 10 got the shell v12.5.5.0 RKUMIXM, which increases the stability of the system. The European version of MIUI 12.5 (v12.5.5.0 RKIEUXM) with August patch is available for Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 5G.

Finally, global MIUI 12.5 with a security patch for September has been released for Redmi Note 10. The update fixes the issue of glitches when using the fingerprint scanner and Face Unlock at the same time. All seven smartphones are running Android 11.
