Google has officially released a stable version of Android 12, but the update for Pixel smartphones will come later
Google, after four months of testing, has finally released a stable version of the operating system Android 12.
What is known
The company has published the source code firmware as AOSP (Android Open Source Project), but, unfortunately, has not yet released an update for Pixel smartphones. According to the manufacturer, the devices plan to update "in the coming weeks". There is no exact release date. We can only assume that the firmware will be released during the announcement of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.
Recall, the Android 12 operating system boasts a big list of changes. It got a new interface called Material You. The developers have also changed the system animations, lock screen and introduced a new widget system. Buttons are now big and bright, there are more animations and Privacy Dashboard, where you can see what permissions applications have got and when. You can read more about the new version of the green robot in our separate piece at the link.
