Apple is not yet requiring all employees to be vaccinated, but is still tightening its COVID-19 protocols. According to a source, the tech giant will begin requiring all of its unvaccinated employees to take a COVID-19 test every time they work in the office instead of at home.

Back in September, it was reported that Apple had asked employees to voluntarily disclose their vaccination status. Those who refuse to report their vaccination status will also have to be tested daily, while vaccinated office workers will only have to be express tested once a week.

Meanwhile, employees at Apple retail stores will not be subjected to daily tests, even though they work with consumers. Unvaccinated employees must be tested twice a week. Like Apple's office workers, vaccinated employees will only be express tested once a week.

It's unclear if the tech giant will ever impose a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination requirement, but President Biden's administration has previously directed all employees to vaccinate all federal contractors by December 8. As the source notes, Apple sells products to the U.S. government.
