Opera One browser with artificial intelligence is out of early access
The developers of Opera One have announced the release of an artificial intelligence browser from early access. It is now available to everyone on current platforms.
Here's What We Know
Opera One has a built-in artificial intelligence called Aria. Users can access it from the sidebar or with a keyboard shortcut (CTRL or Command and /). In addition, the AI assistant is also available on mobile devices.
Aria is based on OpenAI technologies. It connects to GPT to respond to user queries, search for live information on the web, generate text or code, and answer Opera support questions.
Besides Aria, chatbots ChatGPT or ChatSonic are available in the browser.
The developers noted that interaction with the AI is optional. To use it, you need to be logged in to your Opera account.
The developers have also refreshed the look and feel of Opera One, which is now based on modular design principles. Opera said it will help the browser adapt to users' needs by displaying key features.
The developers have also introduced a "tab islands" feature that takes into account context and groups tabs according to theme.
The browser has a number of internal fixes. The developers have used a new architecture with a multi-threaded linker to make the user interface faster and smoother. The company claims that this approach will also help add new features and set Opera One apart from other Chromium-based browsers.
The company has promised to release more AI features for the browser by the end of 2023.
