Cruise has launched an Android app, giving potential customers in San Francisco the chance to hail a robot taxi.

According to the drone maker, 20% of waiting list members use Android. The new Cruise app will come with all the updates available on iOS since its launch.

In April, the company announced that occasional "power users" and beta test participants who leave feedback on rides will be able to use the taxi service during the daytime as well. Prior to this, the 24-hour mode was only available to the company's employees.

Now, passengers with Android phones will also be able to take a ride during the day, the company said.
