AWS to launch $100m programme to fund generative AI initiatives

Amazon has announced the launch of a new programme to invest in start-ups and organisations focused on generative AI.

Here's What We Know

The AWS Generative AI Innovation Centre programme is designed to connect developers and customers. Initially, the centre will prioritize working with customers who have previously approached AWS.

The company will prioritise organisations in the areas of:

• financial services;
• healthcare and life sciences;
• media and entertainment;
• automotive and manufacturing;
• energy and utilities;
• telecommunications.

Participants in the programme will benefit from free workshops, events and training. They will also have access to AWS products such as the CodeWhisperer code generation service and the Bedrock text model generation platform.
