Speaking at the UN General Assembly, US President Joe Biden revealed a plan to collaborate with other countries on artificial intelligence.
Here's What We Know
According to Biden, this is necessary to harness the potential of AI for good while protecting people from the risks of the technology.
"Emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence hold both enormous potential and enormous peril" Biden stated.
He emphasised that the technology should be used to empower people, not suppress them.
The US will work with other countries on rules for the use of AI so that it is safe and under the control of society, Biden noted.
