FLIR introduced the $550 One Edge Pro wireless thermal imager for smartphones

FLIR has announced a wireless thermal imaging camera for smartphones. It's called the One Edge Pro.

Here's What We Know

It is an improved version of the One Edge mobile thermal imager. The model is equipped with brackets, with which it is attached to smartphones, but can work separately from the phone. The camera is equipped with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz) wireless adapters.

The One Edge Pro is equipped with a 160 x 120 resolution sensor and supports MSX multispectral imaging technology. It allows you to add details from the visible spectrum camera to the image taken with the thermal imager.

It is equipped with a rechargeable battery which lasts up to 90 minutes on a single charge. The battery itself charges in 60-90 minutes from zero to 100%. The manufacturer also notes that 15 minutes of recharging converts to 40 minutes of operation.

Deliveries of the new thermal camera are scheduled for late 2022. The One Edge Pro costs $550.
