Humane, a start-up by former Apple employees, has introduced a wearable gadget with AI and a projector instead of a display
Humane, the startup founded by former Apple employees Imran Chaudhri and Bethany Bongiorno, has unveiled an unusual gadget: a compact assistant with artificial intelligence.
Details
During the presentation, Chaudhri carried the small device in his pocket and remotely gave it commands, as if it were a smart speaker. Only it doesn't need a connection to a smartphone or any other device to work fully. Apparently, it has access to cloud services from where it gets its information.

The gadget wakes up with a tap or gesture. It lacks a screen, but can project an image onto any surface, even the palm of your hand. It does, however, have a camera that can identify objects around it. For example, the device recognised a chocolate bar in Choudhry's hands and gave some advice based on the user's diet.

Basically, Humane's gadget is a smart assistant that can take or reject phone calls, collect emails and notifications for you, translate texts, give you necessary information, etc.
It is not yet known when it will be available or how much it will cost. But those interested can sign up for a waiting list.
