Saudi Arabia is having problems with ordering Eurofighter Typhoon fighters. Because of this, the Kingdom may switch to French Dassault Rafale jets.

Here's What We Know

The UK wants to sell fourth-generation Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets to Saudi Arabia. However, because of the war in Yemen and the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, Germany is blocking the deal.

In this regard, the authorities of the largest state on the Arabian Peninsula are considering the purchase of French Rafale fighter jets. At the moment, the Royal Saudi Air Force has more than a hundred Eurofighter Typhoon and F-15SA Eagle aircraft.

The kingdom is reluctant to order American fighter jets due to not the best relations with the US. The government fears that in the future America may block the supply of aircraft or components for them.

That is why the choice falls on the French Rafale. According to La Tribune, Saudi Arabia is considering buying 100-200 fighter jets. However, more information about the potential deal is not yet available.
