14 Su-30, J-10 and JH-7 fighter jets, H-6J nuclear bombers, drones - TB-001, BZK-005 and CH-4 - Chinese warplanes have once again encircled Taiwan
At the end of last week, China's People's Liberation Army held an unannounced exercise. This was reported by the Global Times, a publication close to the Communist Party of China.
Here's What We Know
About three dozen drones and aircraft were spotted around the island, as well as about 10 warships. Chinese journalists familiarised with the map reported that Chinese military hardware had surrounded the island nation.
About 20 aircraft crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait. They included 14 fighter jets: two Su-30s, eight J-10s and four JH-7s. KJ-500, Y-9 and Y-84 aircraft were spotted with them. As for drones, TB-001, BZK-005 and CH-4 took to the skies.
In addition, H-6J nuclear bombers (pictured above) flew in the region. They crossed the Miyako Strait and approached Taiwan from the eastern side before turning back. This was reported by Japan's Ministry of Self-Defence.
