Baldur's Gate III developers are expanding: Larian Studios announced the opening of a new office in Warsaw

Over the last five years, more and more studios have been opening in Poland to produce high-end games, making the country the centre of the game industry in Europe.

Polish developers produce great games themselves, but recently more and more foreign companies have opened their own offices in different cities of Poland.

Here's What We Know

Just a few days ago we reported that the American giant Activision has announced the opening of Elsewhere Entertainment studio: the team is based on the developers of Cyberpunk 2077, The Last of Us, The Witcher and Uncharted, the basis of which is made up of former employees of CD Projekt RED and Naughty Dog studios.

Today the same decision was announced by Belgian Larian Studios, which gained worldwide fame thanks to the phenomenal success of the RPG Baldur's Gate 3.

Rumours about the opening of Larian Studios Warsaw appeared back in February 2024, but now it has been officially announced.

With two very ambitious RPGs about to begin development, a great way to realise our vision is to expand the team and open a seventh studio in the heart of Poland's vibrant gaming scene!

Welcome, Larian Studios Warsaw!!!

Larian Studios Warsaw has opened a number of vacancies and invites talented game designers to cooperate with us.

We would like to remind you that in April the Baldur's Gate developers aren't sitting idle, with Larian Studios admitting that they're already working on two games on their own IPs that it is starting the development of two ambitious games, but despite the huge success of Baldur's Gate 3, they will not be connected with the Dungeons & Dragons universe in any way. As Larian head Swen Vincke stated: "For us, this is a passed stage". Both games are known to be based on their own IPs.
