The company Samsung is recruiting employees for its Moscow representative office to handle "indirect" purchases.
What we know
At the beginning of March 2022, the South Korean manufacturer joined the companies that announced their withdrawal from Russia. But apparently, this was done only to avoid going against the sanctions that were imposed on the Russian Federation after the invasion of Ukraine.
According to a local publication CNews, the Russian representative office continued to trade in russia despite the cessation of official deliveries of equipment. A source from CNews reported that the stores sell "gray" goods, which were originally intended for the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia).
At the same time Samsung continued to recruit specialists. In addition to managers, the company began looking for employees who will be engaged in "indirect" procurement of equipment Samsung in other countries. The website HeadHunter posted 19 job openings in a few weeks. Another 22 vacancies were published by the Samsung Research Center in RF.
Officially, the South Korean company is against selling "gray" products. However, now Samsung does not fight against smuggled goods and pretends not to know where they come from. At the moment, products from the Eurasian Economic Union are being sold in stores and are considered relatively honest because they have Rostest certification.
