So, Rumour: Apple to add support for customisable lock screen for iPad to iPadOS 17, iPad users will also get an updated Stage Manager, which will allow for a better experience with more open apps.

Apple also plans to improve the tablets' experience with external displays. For example, iPadOS 17 will add support for webcams on the connected monitor, the ability to resize the app dock on the connected screen, sleep mode and support for streaming multiple audio/video sources.

When We Can Expect It

Apple will showcase iPadOS 17 at the WWDC 2023 conference in early June. A full release of the system is due in the fall.
