AirPods, AirPods Max, Magic Mouse and other Apple gadgets will also move to USB-C - Bloomberg
Apple held a presentation this week where they debuted the iPhone 15 line of smartphones. One of their main innovations was the switch from the proprietary Lightning port to USB-C. However, the company still has products with Lightning in its range.
Here's What We Know
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman predicts that gradually other Apple devices will also move to USB-C. Thus, Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad and Magic Keyboard with USB-C will be released with the next iMac.
In 2024, it will be the turn of the AirPods wireless earbuds. Incidentally, the updated AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C port debuted at the launch event on September 12.
Next will be updated full-size AirPods Max, but when exactly - it is not specified. Perhaps we should expect them next year too.
Beyond that, Mark Gurman expects the MagSafe battery pack and MagSafe Duo charger accessories to eventually return with USB-C ports.
