Navatina wants to sell two S-80 Plus Isaac Peral-class diesel-electric submarines. The Spanish state-owned company is offering the submarines to the Philippines.

Navatina's offer includes the two submarines, extensive crew training and technology transfer. This was announced by Guillermo Zamarripa, a spokesman for the Spanish company. The deal is valued at $1.7bn.
The S-80 Plus Isaac Peral-class diesel-electric submarines can perform various naval operations, including information gathering and missile launches. The submarines have a displacement of nearly 3,000 tonnes, are 81 metres long, 11.7 metres wide and have a draft of 7.3 metres.
The S-80 Plus Isaac Peral class submarines can reach speeds of approximately 20 kilometres per hour and 35 kilometres per hour in the surface and underwater positions respectively. They have a range of 8,000 kilometres. The submarine can carry out missions of up to 55 days. Harpoon and NSM anti-ship missiles can be fitted on board.
