Phasmophobia developers published a roadmap for the game for 2024
Kinetic Games, the developer of the indie horror game Phasmophobia, has prepared a roadmap for the game, revealing its plans for updates for 2024 and beyond, including four updates along with a full release of version 1.0. Although the developers did not provide specific release dates for the updates, they warn that the dates and content of the updates "may change dramatically". The first update from the list is expected next week.
Here's What We Know
The upcoming console update of the game will bring improvements such as an updated store, level and equipment adjustments, and minor balance changes. The delayed release will allow us to polish up the first day of play, ensuring that console players get optimised graphics and performance comparable to the PC version. An update will be released as soon as these improvements are ready.
The Point Hope Lighthouse, a new long-awaited location in Phasmophobia, will also be released soon. It should be noted that this was supposed to happen even earlier - the delay is due to the decision to enhance the visual appeal of the lighthouse, for which a separate concept artist, Zeka, was hired. The design of the lighthouse features looping areas and strategic hiding places, which adds complexity to the gameplay. It is noteworthy that the maintenance room and the main bathroom create separate challenges, contributing to an exciting ghost hunt.
The release of Phasmophobia was originally planned for last year but was delayed with limited updates on its status. In today's blog post, the developers acknowledge the lack of information but do not provide any new details, stating that the game will be released when it is ready.
The lack of a confirmed release window in the latest roadmap hints at a potentially long wait for fans. The cautious mention of "2024 and beyond" suggests a full release in 2025.
