An insider gave a disappointing prediction: the release of the new Mass Effect part will take place at the end of the decade

The N7 Day is a success! BioWare has unveiled an intriguing teaser for the new Mass Effect instalment and hinted at the return of Commander Shepard was shown already a few days ago, and gaming media and individual journalists and bloggers continue to discuss the probable release date of the game.

Here's What We Know

We have already written that a well-known insider Tom Henderson believes that the release of the continuation of the cult franchise will take place no earlier than 2027.

It's a long time, but even he is somewhat optimistic compared to the forecast of Jeff Grubb, who believes that Mass Effect will be released no earlier than 2029 - such a term he voiced on the air of the Game Mess Mornings podcast.

Grubb backed up his version of the calculations: BioWare will begin active work on the sequel Mass Effect only after the release of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. The release of this project is expected in 2024, but no one is sure that it will happen in that year.

But what is more important is the speed of work of BioWare game designers: they never rushed with the release of their games, and such a complex project as Mass Effect will undoubtedly require a huge amount of time and labour, unless, of course, the developers want to repeat the "feat" of Mass Effect Andromeda.
