Since the release of the add-on Sunbreak for Monster Hunter Rise almost a week has passed, and Capcom is already boasting record shipments. According to it, more than 2 million copies of the project went to stores.
The company believes that the key to the success of the expansion was its rich content, as well as the release of the demo version shortly before the release of Sunbreak. The latter provided the "attention and praise" project.
Capcom shared the successes of other parts of the franchise:
- In total, since 2004, the circulation of the series has exceeded 84 million copies.
- It became a record holder among the lineup of Monster Hunter: World — together with the publication of Iceborne Master Edition its sales amounted to 21 million copies.
- In a month and a half Monster Hunter Rise improved its position by 1 million. Its current figure is 10 million shipped copies.
Before Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak stood out in the recent Steam sales chart. The game failed to overcome Steam Deck, so it stopped at the second line of the rating. In addition to PC, the add-on has landed on Nintendo Switch.
