James Gunn and Gōichi Suda are not involved in the Lollipop Chainsaw remake

The Lollipop Chainsaw team had two notable developers: the lead Gōichi Suda and screenwriter James Gunn. Unfortunately, both have nothing to do with the newly announced Lollipop Chainsaw remake. 

About this Gunn and Suda reported on their personal pages. Gunn was the first to react:

"I answer the question in the article: neither I, no Gōichi Suda are currently involved in production. I first heard about the project from Suda a few weeks ago. 

I do not condemn or approve of the remake! I just don't know anything about it. But the articles began to mention our names, so I think it is important to clearly convey the idea: no one from the project contacted us" - James Gunn

"I'll add more, says James Gunn, but neither he nor I take any part in this project. Grasshopper Manufacture has nothing to do with the development." -Gōichi Suda. 

Grasshopper Manufacture is a studio of Goichi Suda, which just created the original Lollipop Chainsaw. The remake is in the hands of the newborn publishing house Dragami Games, and the name of the developer studio has not been specified. It is known that the updated Lollipop Chainsaw has at least one co-author of the original - a producer Yoshimi Yasuda.

A remake of Lollipop Chainsaw is going to be released in 2023.
