Chat has been temporarily disabled in Destiny 2 due to a vulnerability that breaks the game
Last weekend, players encountered a new way to hack Dwstiny 2. Attackers sent a text to the chat, which caused the victim to be thrown out of the match. While Bungie is looking for a solution, it temporarily disabled the feature to prevent similar cases from happening again.
According to users, gamers uploaded to the message more characters than the system could handle. That's why it was possible to throw anyone out of the game. This method was often used in PvP battles to guarantee an automatic victory - the enemy "fell off".
We had temporarily disabled text chat on all platforms in Region 2, provided that research that causes all the errors.

From the beginning, users tried themselves to deal with the problem: leaving clans, disabling the "whispering" feature, and beware of places with separate chat. But the problem became so widespread that Bungie had to intervene and disable text chat altogether. The developers promise to bring it back after fixing the error.
Recall, on August 23, Bungie will hold an event to talk about the future of Destiny 2. It is expected they will tell about the Loghtfall expansion.
