One million! The number of sold Steam Deck devices became known

The portable console Steam Deck went on sale at the end of February 2022 and since then has been a steady leader in the Steam sales chart.

During the Akademy 2022 conference, David Edmundson, one of the developers of the software for the device, mentioned that Steam Deck has sold more than a million copies at the moment. He noted that the console is very popular and Valve regularly receives additional orders for the device, so, the number of consoles sold in the near future will greatly exceed this figure.

Valve said that in the past quarter, it significantly accelerated the shipment of consoles to customers, which will avoid delays with the receipt of the goods to those who sign up for it, starting in September.
