The Cyberpunk universe began with a 1988 board game and will return to this format with a new board game based on the anime Cyberpunk Edgerunners

The famous role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077 began back in 1988, when board game designer Mike Pondsmith created the board game Cyberpunk 2020, published by R. Talsorian Games. The game was hugely popular and the publisher released several editions of it.
In 2020, studio CD Projekt RED brought the Mike Pondsmith universe to video game platforms, and in 2022 the streaming service Netflix released the animated series Cyberpunk Edgerunners.
And so, the circle closed.
Here's What We Know
R. Talsorian Games is working with CD Projekt RED to make a board game already based on the Edgerunners series.
Cyberpunk Edgerunners Mission Kit is based on the fourth edition of Mike Pondsmith's game, Cyberpunk RED.
Here's what the game description says:
Cyberpunk Edgerunners Mission Kit will help fans of the series unfamiliar with tabletop RPGs tell their own stories in Knight City. At the same time, existing players in Cyberpunk RED will see for the first time the cyber-implants, weapons and skills netrunners 2077.
Cyberpunk Edgerunners Mission Kit release date has not yet been determined.
