The developers of the 4X-strategy Stellaris announced the next major expansion with three new scenarios and a number of innovations

Publisher Paradox Interactive announced a new expansion for the space grand strategy game Stellaris.

Here's What We Know

The main innovation of the First Contact Story Pack will be three new story scenarios:

1. "Broken Shackles" will offer the player to take control of the primitive race and help them escape from the captivity of an alien civilization.
2. In "Payback" you will have to fight off the invasion of the superior forces of alien invaders.
3. "Fear of the Dark will appeal to fans of mysterious and unpredictable stories. In this story, a certain incident happens on one of the planets, and the player must find out what happened and figure out if it's worth the risk to find out what happened, or if you should proceed with caution.

With the release of the First Contact Story Pack expansion, Stellaris will have new mechanics for interacting with alien civilizations that have not yet achieved a technological breakthrough.

At the same time with the First Contact Story Pack we'll see the free 3.7 Canis Minor update, which will bring a number of improvements and innovations to Stellaris. A DLC release date has not yet been announced.
