The UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has issued a preliminary ruling on the deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard.
Here's What We Know
The British Competition Authority has studied all the nuances and potential consequences of the deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard and has concluded that the merger between the two giants will not harm competition in the video game industry.
The CMA experts are confident that if the deal is approved, Microsoft will not stop releasing Activision Blizzard games, particularly Call of Duty, on PlayStation, as the American corporation will not benefit from the move, and overall the merger will not hurt the console gaming market.
The CMA's final decision will be announced by 26 April.
