Square Enix has released a colourful video about the world of Final Fantasy XVI. New gameplay footage of the JRPG from PAX East is also shown

Square Enix continues to acquaint gamers with the role-playing game Final Fantasy XVI.

This time, the developers have released a video dedicated to the game's world, which has been euphoniously named Valisthea.

Here's What We Know

Valisthea is divided into six powerful states, each with a huge crystal at its centre. For hundreds of years, all the kingdoms have been in a state of shaky peace, but the spread of a plague threatens to disrupt order in Valisthea.

The developers have also unveiled an hour-long recording of the Final Fantasy XVI presentation from PAX East 2023, featuring 18 minutes of gameplay for the ambitious JRPG.

When We Can Expect It

Final Fantasy XVI will be released on June 22nd on PlayStation 5.
