Naughty Dog investigates performance issues with PC version of The Last of Us Part 1 and promises to fix it as soon as possible
The PC version of The Last of Us: Part 1, which was released on 28 March, initially brought a lot of joy to PC owners, but later on, a lot of disappointment. The thing is that despite the rather high system requirements, the game can glitch even on powerful builds with 4000 series graphics cards. But the good news is that Naughty Dog is aware of the issue and is already investigating what exactly is causing the problem.
Here's What We Know
The studio has listed known bugs in the game on the official support page. Among them:
- Shaders take longer to load than expected.
- Performance and stability degrades while shaders are loading in the background;
- Older versions of graphics card drivers may cause instability and/or graphics issues;
- The game may not run even though it meets the minimum system requirements;
- There is a potential memory leak;
- Some players may experience minor mouse and camera jitter, depending on their hardware and display settings.
In the same message, the studio promised to investigate and fix these bugs as soon as possible.
Despite the fact that the game has only been out for a few days, these issues have already caused a lot of negative reaction from fans who expected better from the port, especially considering the very stable port of Sony's Marvel's Spider-Man.
