The genius of Japanese game designer Hidetaka Miyazaki's games has long been recognised by critics and millions of gamers.

And now Time magazine has noted his contribution to the development of interactive entertainment.

Here's What We Know

FromSoftware studio head Hidetaka Miyazaki - creator of such popular games as Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro and Elden Ring - has been named one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people in the Innovators category.

Miyazaki became the second Japanese developer to make it to such a prestigious top. Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of such legendary Nintendo games as Mario, Donkey Kong and The Legend of Zelda, had previously claimed the honour in 2007.

Notably, Hidetaki Miyazaki was credited by another famous game designer and author of The Last of Us, Neil Druckmann.

Miyazaki's games make the player feel experienced and intelligent, all thanks to the uncompromising approach of the developer and his team.
