Announcement in August, release in November: reputable insider reveals first details of new Call of Duty

Insider Tom Henderson has released the first details about the next installment in the Call of Duty series.

Here's What We Know

According to Henderson's sources, the game, with working title Cerberus, will be announced on August 1 and will be accompanied by in-game events in Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare II.

As previously reported, the new game will be a sequel to Modern Warfare II (2022) and will offer a single player campaign and multiplayer modes, and is likely to have a zombie mode.

The game is being developed by Sledgehammer Games.

Henderson's sources have also leaked the game's testing and release schedule:

• First beta test (PlayStation) - from October 6 to October 10;
• second beta test (PC, PlayStation, Xbox) - October 12 to October 16;
• Early access campaign (PC, PlayStation, Xbox) - 2 November;
• Game release (PC, PlayStation, Xbox) - November 10.
