Final Fantasy XIV's main story will continue on May 23 with the release of the major update The Dark Throne

Japanese publisher Square Enix has revealed the release date of major update 6.4 for multiplayer RPG Final Fantasy XIV.

Here's What We Know

The expansion, titled The Dark Throne, will be released on May 23 and will allow players to continue the main story of the game.

The 6.4 update will include new story quests, the Pandæmonium: Anabaseios raid, Variant and Criterion dungeons, and an additional challenge, The Voidcast Dais.

With the release of the patch, many more innovations await players in Final Fantasy XIV, including changes to the PvP system, the balance of some classes and more.
