New Fenrir operative, updated Consulate map and additional gadgets: Ubisoft reveals details and release date for Operation Dread Factor update for Rainbow Six Siege

Developers Ubisoft have hosted a live stream in which they revealed details of the Operation Dread Factor update for the competitive shooter Rainbow Six Siege.

Here's What We Know

A new operative will appear in Operation Dread Factor - the Swede Fenrir.

Fenrir has a unique gadget that secretes a paralyzing toxin that weakens enemies.

He carries an MP7 submachine gun, SASG-12 shotgun and Bailiff 410 revolver as well as a bulletproof camera and barbed wire.

The innovations don't end there. Ubisoft has changed the Consulate map, added a surveillance locking device, new features in shooting mode, made changes to Grim's characteristics and more.

When We Can Expect It

Operation Dread Factor will begin on May 30.
