While the UK regulator (CMA) and the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) are trying to block the deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard in the courts, Phil Spencer's team has a new problem.
Here's What We Know
The New Zealand Trade Commission has conducted its own investigation and come to the preliminary conclusion that the aforementioned deal will have a negative impact on competition in the games industry. This is particularly true for the cloud services market.
Within a month (until July 17), New Zealand regulators are expected to announce a final decision on the matter.
